Hello tennis fans! This is my first blog and its actually about football amidst the amazing U.S. Open in New York. Monday night football brought sports fans a rivaly like Federer/ Nadal, McEnroe/ Conners, and Sampras/ Agassi. My Alma Mater the Miami Hurricanes took on those dreaded Florida State Seminoles, and for the first time in years the "U" has their swag back.
Many players always complain about certain players for being cocky, however that attitude is sometimes essential to being a winner in sports. Like the canes say, "If you don't want us to dance in the end zone then don't let us score." I honestly did not watch the Novak Djokovic match since the football game was one of the best I have seen in years. However, Novak Djokovic after a stellar performance under the lights in New York city where he was boo'ed off the court last year after a controversial match with Andy Roddick, won some fans back by bringing John McEnroe out of the play-by-play booth to play a point on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Its good to see a young player with so much talent finally respecting who pays the bills.... the fans.
